I forgot to tell you!

Yesterday when I posted I forgot to write about one awesome thing that happened.  So, on the night before the last day of classes we all were busy working.  Then the announcement came on that the captain (after having been asked all voyage) was going to be turning off the lights so that we all could stargaze.  We were all so excited that we decided to forget about our home work for a bit.  So, we went up to the 8th deck forward (the only part of the 8th deck you can get onto) and lied down under the stars.  It was so beautiful!  After a few minutes of being out there, it began to poor!  Most people jumped up and ran inside but a few of us just laid down and let the rain fall on us.  It was a little bit refreshing since it’s been so hot outside lately.  Shortly after the rain started, the cloud went away and it was no longer raining.  The sky was even more beautiful after that because the sun had gone down further.  We all pointed out the constellations that we knew, but when the geology professor came up and was pointing out tons of cool things, we all got up and followed him for a few minutes.  He had brought some nice binoculars and showed us the Andromeda galaxy.  It just looked like a dust speck, but it was so cool!  By this time we all knew we weren’t getting any more work done that night, so we gave in and went downstairs to the Union where they were having movie night for our floor.  They played a pirated copy of The Hangover which was absolutely hilarious.  Then Katie and I went back to my room so I could practice my monologue a couple times and we watched more Evengelion…It’s so easy to distract yourself from home work!  Ok, now I really have to go write my essay exam so that I can maybe do some packing later tonight!  Elissa (my roommate) was packing this morning and it made me anxious.  Talk to you all soon!
