GREECE!!! I was watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding while writing this :-)

Hey everyone, this time the few days at sea were exciting!  We fell asleep still in Croatia and woke up to some very rough waters.  It was a bit of a surprise, but later on in the day I found out that it was because the stabilizers weren’t working correctly, so the boat was extra rocky.  We had classes yesterday, and in the evening we had another family dinner.  We had another cake and had a great time.

Today was the Sea Olympics, so we had no classes.  Everyone was really excited and planned on sleeping in until lunch especially since we went another hour ahead last night.  Our hopes were dashed when at 9:30 am we woke up to the usual “Good Morning Voyagers!” coming from the intercoms.  We had a lifeboat drill.  This meant we had to put on pants, long sleeved shirts, head covering and closed toed shoes along with our life jackets and then wait for the signal to go up to our lifeboat area and stand there in silence for 45 minutes while they called our names our and then checked us.  While we were getting ready in our room, however, my roommate and I took some photos which were pretty amusing and I will post them as soon as I get them from her.  We immediately went back to bed for 45 minutes before getting ready for breakfast and the Sea Olympics.  I did not take part in any of the events, but I did watch a lot of them and cheered on my team.  Sadly, my cheers did not help because we came in last place.  We beat the children’s team (who only competed in two events and no one was really against them) by 10 points.  Oh well, it was a lot of fun anyways.  Lunch was tacos (the best meal on the ship) and it was great to have no classes for the first time while at sea!  Every other day at sea we have been in classes except the first day when we had meetings all day with only a short break for food.  It was great!

Tonight was Vagina Monologue auditions.  It went well.  I don’t entirely agree with what monologues they cut and what ones they kept, but oh well.  I’m going to be doing Baptized this time which is about the Congo.  They had been considering me for The Woman Who Liked to Make Vaginas happy (which would have been a nice change, but oh well).  I’m going to do this one last time (crossing fingers) and now it really will be over.

Tomorrow morning I will wake up for the sunrise and go to breakfast then got back to bed.  After we are able to get off the ship I will go out for a bit and explore the area nearby.  Then at 1 I will be going to Athens and to Acropolis.  Then the next day I’m going to Delphi!!!!!  So excited!  The last two days in Greece I still have open, but I know I want to go back to Acropolis because it is not possible for me to spend only a few hours there, I’ll need more time.  Also, on the last day Stephanie was talking about going to some bazaar nearby which could be cool.  That’s it for now.  The sunset was beautiful tonight when I went up to make myself some tea.  Now I’m off to bed early so I do not get sick.  Good night!
